TERMS AND CONDITIONS

GO-DRV: Terms of Use & Tuition Service Agreement

Welcome to GO-DRV. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all users of our website (www.go-drv.com) and all students receiving driving tuition from GO-DRV instructors or franchised partners.

By using our website or booking a lesson, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Website Terms of Use

  • Accuracy: While we strive for accuracy, the information on this website is for general guidance only and does not constitute legal or professional advice.

  • Intellectual Property: All content, including the GO-DRV logo, branding, and text, is the property of GO-DRV and may not be reproduced without written consent.

  • External Links: Our site may link to third-party sites (e.g., DVSA booking). We are not responsible for the content or reliability of these external sites.

2. Driving Licenses & Student Fitness

  • Provision of License: You must hold a valid UK provisional driving license. You must present your physical license (or share code) to your instructor on your first lesson.

  • Ongoing Duty: You must immediately inform your instructor of any changes to your license, such as new penalty points or medical restrictions.

  • Eyesight: You must be able to read a standard UK number plate from a distance of 20.5 meters. If you require corrective lenses for this, they must be worn during every lesson.

  • Sober Driving: If an instructor believes you are under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs, or any medication that impairs your ability to drive safely, the lesson will be terminated immediately and charged in full.

3. Cancellations, Punctuality & Refunds

  • The 48-Hour Rule: We require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a lesson. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged the full lesson fee.

  • Punctuality: Your instructor will wait for 15 minutes at the agreed pickup location. If you do not arrive within this window, the lesson will be cancelled and charged in full.

  • Block Bookings: Prepaid block bookings are non-refundable once the first lesson of that block has commenced.

  • Credit Expiry: All prepaid lessons must be used within 6 months of the date of purchase. Any unused credit after this period will be void and non-refundable.

4. The Practical Driving Test

  • Instructor Approval: You must consult your instructor before booking a practical test.

  • Vehicle Withdrawal: GO-DRV reserves the right to withdraw the use of the tuition vehicle for a test if the instructor believes the student’s driving is not yet at a safe, independent standard.

  • DVSA Cancellations: We are not responsible for tests cancelled by the DVSA.

  • Mechanical Failure: In the unlikely event of a mechanical breakdown during a test, GO-DRV’s liability is strictly limited to the cost of a replacement test fee. We are not liable for any further compensation or “loss of earnings.”

5. Liability & Fines

  • Insurance: Our vehicles are fully insured for tuition and the practical test.

  • Motoring Offenses: You (the student) are legally responsible for any motoring offenses committed while you are in physical control of the vehicle (e.g., speeding, red light cameras, or parking fines).

  • Indemnity: To the fullest extent permitted by law, GO-DRV and its instructors are not liable for any loss, damage, or injury unless caused by the instructor’s direct negligence.

6. Privacy & Media

  • Data Protection: We collect your data solely for tuition and safety purposes in accordance with UK GDPR.

  • Dashcams: For insurance and safety, vehicles are fitted with dashcams. These record the road ahead and, in some cases, audio. By entering the vehicle, you consent to this recording.

  • Pass Photos: With your verbal or written consent, we may use “Pass Photos” for marketing on go-drv.com and social media. You may withdraw this consent at any time by contacting us in writing.

7. Complaints & Dispute Resolution

GO-DRV instructors are self-employed franchisees. While we uphold strict quality standards, any initial dispute regarding tuition or refunds should be raised with the instructor directly. If a resolution cannot be reached, you may contact GO-DRV management for mediation.
